A Full BCDR Program, End to End

Business Continuity Planning (BCP)

Documented plans that define how your critical business functions continue during and after a disruption. Covers people, processes, systems, and communications — with named owners and tested procedures.

Learn More

Disaster Recovery Architecture

Purpose-built DR environments with defined failover procedures, documented recovery sequences, and tested RTO and RPO targets. Cloud, on-premises, and hybrid configurations fully supported.

Learn More

Risk & Business Impact Analysis

Systematic identification of threats, vulnerabilities, and the operational and financial impact of each disruption scenario. The foundation every effective BCDR program is built on.

Learn More

Tabletop Exercises & DR Testing

Annual structured tabletop exercises walk your team through disruption scenarios before they happen. Quarterly technical DR tests validate recovery procedures against documented RTO targets with written results.

Learn More

Crisis Communication Planning

Pre-written notification templates and escalation trees so the right people know what happened, what is being done, and what is expected of them — within minutes of a declared incident, not hours.

DRaaS — DR as a Service

BWT-hosted failover environment so your critical workloads come online in our infrastructure when yours cannot. Managed, monitored, and tested continuously — so activation is a decision, not a scramble.

Technology Counts.
People Matter.

A business continuity plan is ultimately about protecting the people who depend on your organization — your staff, your clients, and the communities you serve. Every plan we write is built with that at the center, not as an afterthought.

From Risk Identification to Verified Continuity

A BCDR program that exists only on paper has never actually protected anyone. We build plans that get tested and exercised on a defined schedule.

1
Risk & Impact Assessment

We identify your critical business functions, map their technology dependencies, and quantify the financial and operational impact of each disruption scenario — from ransomware to natural disaster to vendor failure.

2
Plan Design & DR Architecture

BCP documentation, crisis communication trees, and DR architecture designed around your actual recovery requirements. Compliance-ready from day one for HIPAA, SOC 2, CMMC, and cyber insurance requirements.

3
Annual Testing & Continuous Management

Annual tabletop exercises, quarterly technical DR tests, and plan reviews aligned to your infrastructure changes. Written results delivered to leadership after every test cycle.

Having a DR Plan and Having a Tested DR Plan Are Two Very Different Things

Most organizations have something they call a business continuity plan. A document that was written during an audit cycle and filed somewhere. When an actual disruption occurs, that document does not run your business. Practiced procedures do. Trained teams do. BWT builds plans that get exercised annually so your team knows what to do before they need to.

We had a BCP binder on the shelf. BWT ran a tabletop with our leadership team and we discovered three critical gaps in our communication plan within the first 20 minutes.

BCDR That Gets Tested, Not Just Written

Tabletop Exercises With Real Outcomes

We facilitate annual tabletop exercises that surface gaps before a real incident does. Your leadership team walks through realistic scenarios and leaves with documented action items, not just a checked box.

Compliance-Ready Documentation

BCP and DR documentation written to satisfy HIPAA Contingency Plan requirements, SOC 2 availability controls, CMMC practices, and cyber insurance underwriting. One program, multiple frameworks covered.

Integrated With Your Security Posture

BCDR does not exist in isolation. BWT aligns your continuity plan with your incident response procedures, backup architecture, and cybersecurity controls so every layer reinforces the next.

The BWT Standard
The organizations that recover fastest are the ones that practiced before anything happened.

BWT builds BCDR programs designed to be exercised. Annual tabletop exercises, quarterly technical tests, and plan reviews that stay current with your changing infrastructure. We do not write plans and walk away. We manage them.

Industries Where Continuity Is Non-Negotiable

From regulated healthcare organizations to mission-critical nonprofits, every industry we serve has stakeholders who depend on operations continuing through disruption.

What Organizations Ask About BCDR

BDR — Backup and Disaster Recovery — focuses on protecting your data and restoring your technology systems after a failure. BCDR — Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery — is broader: it covers how your entire organization continues operating through and after a disruption, including people, processes, communications, and vendor dependencies — not just IT systems. BDR is a critical component of BCDR. Both are necessary. Most organizations start with BDR and mature into a full BCDR program over time. BWT supports both.
A well-built BCP documents your critical business functions and the minimum resources required to sustain them, recovery time objectives for each function, step-by-step activation procedures, named responsible parties for each recovery action, internal and external notification scripts, escalation paths, and alternate work arrangements. It also defines what constitutes a declared continuity event and who has authority to activate the plan. BWT builds all of this and reviews it annually to keep it current.
HIPAA requires covered entities to establish and implement policies and procedures for data backup, disaster recovery, emergency mode operations, and testing and revision procedures — all under the Contingency Plan standard (45 CFR 164.308(a)(7)). SOC 2 auditors evaluate availability controls including BCP and DR documentation. CMMC 2.0 includes recovery practices under the Recovery domain. Cyber insurance underwriters increasingly require documented, tested BCDR programs as a condition of coverage. BWT’s BCDR documentation is written to satisfy all of these simultaneously.
A tabletop exercise is a facilitated discussion where your leadership team works through a realistic disruption scenario — a ransomware attack, a building outage, a critical vendor failure — against your documented continuity procedures. No systems go offline. No real recovery happens. But gaps in your plan surface in a controlled environment rather than during an actual crisis. BWT facilitates these exercises annually, documents the findings, and uses them to improve your BCP before the next review cycle.
At minimum, annually — and also following any significant change to your infrastructure, key personnel, vendors, or regulatory environment. A BCP written two years ago may reference systems that no longer exist, vendors that have changed, or people who have left the organization. BWT conducts formal annual reviews as part of its managed BCDR service and triggers interim reviews automatically when material changes are identified during routine managed IT operations.
Yes. BWT maintains hosted DR environments that allow critical workloads to failover into BWT-managed infrastructure during a declared disaster event. This eliminates the dependency on your primary environment being partially or fully operational to begin recovery. DRaaS environments are tested quarterly alongside your backup validation cycles and are included in annual tabletop scenarios so your team practices the activation process before they need to use it.
