Stephen Candelmo

Stephen Candelmo is a corporate attorney, entrepreneur, and investor with more than twenty nine years of experience advising private and public companies at every stage of growth. He has represented organizations in more than three billion dollars in transactions, including IPOs, mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, private equity, venture capital financings, and traditional debt transactions.

A founder himself, Stephen is a named inventor on several patents and a co-founder of two venture-backed software companies, Fedbid and Synapsify. His operating experience gives him practical insight into the financial, strategic, and legal realities facing emerging growth companies and their investors.

He serves as outside general counsel to BetterWorld Technology and Azafran Capital Partners, advising leadership teams and investors on governance, capital formation, strategic transactions, and risk management.

Stephen is also the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Paralex, where he is redefining legal services through technology for small businesses and franchise organizations.

He is a graduate of the University of Maryland, the University of Akron School of Law, and Georgetown University Law Center.
