James F. Kenefick

James F. Kenefick is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of BetterWorld Technology, a national managed IT and cybersecurity firm built on the belief that technology should empower organizations to operate securely, efficiently, and confidently. Under his leadership, BetterWorld has grown into a trusted partner serving nonprofits, manufacturing firms, financial institutions, and growth driven organizations across the United States.

A serial technology entrepreneur with more than twenty five years of experience, James began his career at EMC Corporation and went on to launch seven companies. Over the course of his career, he has raised more than seven hundred fifty million dollars in capital, completed over one hundred fifty million dollars in transactions, and contributed to eight successful exits.

In addition to leading BetterWorld Technology, James serves as Managing Partner at Azafran Capital Partners, where he invests in early stage B2B companies focused on artificial intelligence, machine learning, and cybersecurity. His leadership philosophy blends disciplined execution, continuous learning, and a strong corporate culture to drive long term growth.

James is a multiple Inc 500 and 5000 honoree and a two time finalist for Ernst and Young Young Entrepreneur of the Year. He is an active member of YPO and the Entrepreneurs Organization and has served in international leadership roles within both communities.

A graduate of Babson College and a participant in the Birthing of Giants program at MIT, James believes that innovation is not just about technology, it is about building organizations strong enough to deliver and focused enough to care.
